  • Marketing & Social Media Assistants - OPEN

    Marketing Assistant

    The Marketing Assistant for the Office of Housing and Residence Life performs skilled, creative work in the design and production of graphic art elements for use in print and web-based communication and marketing materials. The Marketing Assistant reports directly to the Communications and Marketing Manager.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    The following is a summary of the responsibilities of the position and are not meant to be an exhaustive list of tasks:

    • Conceive, design, and create graphic art, including original illustrations, photographs, and video, for use in guidebooks, brochures, posters, digital signage, presentations, web pages, social media, etc.
    • Organize graphic elements into effective and visually pleasing designs.
    • Draft advertising text and layouts for on-campus housing services.
    • Ensures work complies with university guidelines for print and web media.
    • Prepare final layouts and material specifications for production by printers.
    • Responsible for final print quality.
    • Works collaboratively with other members of the marketing department and clients to determine, interpret, and document communication and marketing needs and deadlines.
    • Respond to requests for changes from original specifications.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Social Media Assistant

    The Social Media Assistant for the Office of Housing and Residence Life implements, manages and measures social media and marketing initiatives that assists with promoting brand awareness, supports our mission and values as well as cultivates our motto, Live, Learn, Lead. The Social Media Assistant reports directly to the Communications and Marketing Manager.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    The following is a summary of the responsibilities of the position and are not meant to be an exhaustive list of tasks:

    • Provide friendly and courteous customer service to all guests and residents.
    • Develop initiatives in social networking, video sharing, and other social outlets.
    • Develop and coordinate content creation and publish on all Housing and Residence Life social media sites.
    • Analyze and track social media initiatives.
    • Plan and Implement social media programs to interact with current residents on behalf of Housing and Residence Life.
    • Conceive, design, and create graphic art, including original illustrations, photographs, and video, for use in guidebooks, brochures, posters, digital signage, presentations, web pages, social media, etc.
    • Organize graphic elements into effective and visually pleasing designs.
    • Attend meetings and training sessions.
    • Other duties as assigned.

  • Resident Assistants (RA) - CLOSED

  • Student Office Assistant (work study) - CLOSED

    These positions are not currently available.

    Student Office Assistant positions are work study positions where students gain experience working with prospective students and residents, as well as learn office operations at our main housing office or within one of our community offices.  Depending on need applications are posted and accepted through out the academic year.  For more information on positions and availability please contact Stacy McAtee, .

  • Summer Student Assistants (work study) - CLOSED

    These positions are not currently available.

    Summer student assistant positions are work study positions where students gain experience working in multiple housing areas while also attending summer classes or living on campus for the summer. Opportunities range from working with maintenance staff to prepare rooms for future residents, attending orientation sessions to speak with incoming students and parents, and working in one of the community offices or the main housing office assisting summer guests and residents.

  • Graduate Assistantships (GA/GHD) - CLOSED

    These positions are not currently available.

    Graduate Assistantships are available as Residence Life supervisory roles. These are two-year appointments, so availability of these positions is very limited.
