Summer Camps & Conferences Housing

We provide affordable, short-term summer accommodations

IU Indianapolis offers a variety of options for your event or group needing short-term accommodations at a competitive price. Conveniently located nearly IU Indianapolis meeting spaces and dining facilities, our spaces offer unique and budget-friendly amenities that meet your needs.

Throughout the summer, we offer traditional residence hall spaces, single occupancy spaces with private bathrooms, and fully outfitted apartments. You can book a block of rooms for connectivity—making youth supervision for your camp easy—or you can book individual living arrangements for adult groups.

Our facilities and amenities

All our facilities are equipped with air conditioning, free wifi, 24/7 on-call customer service, and socializing and meeting spaces. Each building is secured by card access and monitored by our live-in staff, the IU Police Department, and our conferences team.

There are some differences in each building and what they offer, which are outlined below.

North Hall

Our newest residence hall offers traditional residence hall spaces with shared floor bathrooms and single or double occupancy rooms. There are small lounge spaces for communal gatherings throughout the building, and for an additional fee, the classroom space within the building can be reserved for programs, activities, and meetings.

North Hall is equipped with:

Twin XL beds (does not include linens; they can be brought with you or rented from us)
New contemporary furnishings including a dresser, desk, and a desk chair
Multiple male, female, and gender-neutral pod-style restroom and shower facilities on each floor

Ball Hall

This recently renovated and historic residence hall offers traditional residence hall spaces with shared floor bathrooms and single, double, or triple occupancy rooms.

Ball Hall is equipped with:

Twin XL beds (does not include linens; they can be brought with you or rented from us)
New contemporary furnishings including a dresser, desk, and a desk chair
Restored basketball court floors in some rooms

University Tower

Centrally located in the heart of campus and connected to offices, meeting spaces, and a dining facility, University Tower offers spacious double and triple occupancy rooms with in-room, private bathrooms. Single rooms are available for long-term stays.

University Tower is equipped with:

Twin XL beds (does not include linens; they can be brought with you or rented from us)
Furnishings including a dresser, desk, and a desk chair
In-room temperature control
Long-term summer stays of 30 days or more will also include a microwave and mini refrigerator

Riverwalk Apartments

These fully furnished apartments available for two or four people offer a private bedroom, semi-private bathroom, and shared living room, kitchen, and in-unit laundry. Guests have easy access to waterfront walking trails.

Riverwalk Apartments are equipped with:

Private, lockable bedrooms with full-size bed (you must provide linens)
A dresser, desk, and desk chair
Kitchen with refrigerator, oven/range, microwave, and full-size washer/dryer
Living space with sofa, chair, and table with chairs
Individually controlled heating and cooling systems

Group eligibility

Two-night minimum for short-term housing
14-night minimum for long-term housing
Groups must enter into one contract for all participants; individual agreements and billing are not available
Internal university departments or units

Rates

Please complete our interest form to inquire about rates. Indiana University Indianapolis housing rates are established on an annual basis. In cases of advanced scheduling, Summer Camps and Conferences Housing may quote estimated rates with no implied guarantee that the rates quoted will be the actual rates in place at the time of the conference. The rates are per person/per night based on the dates requested. Indiana University Indianapolis is required to collect taxes based on the Indiana University Sales Tax Collection Matrix for attendees staying with us for less than 30 days.
