Liberal Arts Community

The Liberal Arts community is designed for students who have a passion to change the world through an interdisciplinary approach.  Residents will explore a diverse range of activities and participate in opportunities designed around civic engagement. You’ll explore your values and goals, learn about resources, develop leadership skills, and grow as a student, citizen, and future professional. 

Room Type

  • Shared double room in North Hall


  • Participate directly with faculty on research, service projects, and scholarship opportunities
  • Explore the Liberal Arts tradition and enhance your major coursework while being a part of connected courses
  • Connect with advisors to make a plan of action for involvement within the major and at the university
  • Blend studying and socializing to help you bond with students and faculty, explore liberal arts, and learn how to make your mark

Eligibility and Next Steps

  • First year and upper class students
  • Admitted to the School of Liberal Arts and enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours
  • Participate in a fall semester LC (learning community course) if a first year student
