Making sure you get everything done on time can be a bit overwhelming so we have put all of our dates in one place so you can easily track what you need to do and what is coming up!
Prepare for Move In
Move-In Day
Having signed a contract to live on-campus, your next step is to plan what to take and when you take it! At the beginning of August, or end of July for those moving in early, you will receive an email letting you know your assigned move-in date and time. We ask that you arrive as close to this time as possible, to help make sure your move-in experience is a positive one.
Living on-campus necessitates having a lot of stuff. To help you take it all up to your new home, we have Move Crew volunteers, making the process of unloading pretty quick.
In the months preceeding move-in, you will receive newsletters from our office with helpful information to prepare you for move-in. Make sure you have added our email address to your contacts so you don't miss any communications from us!
Packing List
The packing lists provided below offer a list of suggested items for you to consider bringing with you. A list of prohibited items can be found in the Residential Handbook.
Early Arrival
If you are registered for a class or campus program that requires you to move in early, we are happy to accommodate those requests! From June 1 - July 15, you can request to move in early by visiting housing.iupui.edu/hsc and completing the Early Arrival Form.
Are you signed up for a Bridge program? If so, you are automatically signed up to move in early to your assignment for the school year. If you do not wish to live on-campus during Bridge, please email our office to decline adding early arrival to your contract.
It's important to note that only students with signed contracts can request to move in early, and that additional rent charges are incurred, prorated based on the scheduled move-in day.
